Born in Thessalonikiin 1930. He studied at the Athens School of Fine Arts under Yannis Moralis and at the same time worked in the workshops of N. Nikolaou and Y. Spyropoulos. He was an exponent and co-founder of the “mec-art” movement. In 1981 he was appointed as Professor at the School of Fine Arts. As Dean of the School of Fine Arts (1991-1995), during his deanship the School moved to Pireos Street and acquired its own exhibition space, the “factory”.
