An internationally acclaimed painter, Auerbach was born in Berlin in 1931. In 1939 he fled to London at the age of eight to escape the Nazis. From 1948 to 1952 he studied at St Martin’s School of Art and from1952-1955 he continued his studies at the Royal College of Art, London. Lives and works in London.
